the nation should not have any misconceptions. There will be a kind
of peace in the country; hence without any delay such tasks need to
be taken forward. If we can take this forward the faith of the people
for the Parliament will be restored. Their faith in democracy will be
established and they will trust the government machinery.

The biggest crises, the country is facing today is the lack of faith.
The faith has been shattered to a great extent. Some of you sitting
here might be sending an SMS and then calling up later asking if the
SMS was received or not? Why? The faith has been shattered. There
should have been the faith that if I have sent an SMS, the other person
must have received it. But no, we have to call back and ask. We have
to restore this lost faith. If a person goes to a Government hospital
he should have the faith that his disease will be treated. If a child
goes to a Government school, his parents should have the faith that
there will be no problems regarding his studies. To restore this faith
is a huge challenge. We all can come together and make this happen.
You all have given suggestions and all of them are important to us.
And I say this with great humility that though we have won and the
people have voted for us in huge numbers after all these years, but
if we do not have your support then our support is incomplete. We
want to move ahead with you. If need be we will move forward with
your guidance. And that is nothing new. When Narsimha Rao ji was
heading the Government, lobbying against Pakistan was needed for a
conference in Geneva. Narsimha Rao ji selected Atal Bihari ji for this
purpose and he was sent with the delegation to accomplish the task.
So we will want to take forward all the nice precedents from the past
because we are the people who work for the country. Nation above
party should be our mantra and we will work to invoke it from this
sacred institution.
