So what are those realities of the democracy which are creating such
kind of gaps? It is the need of the hour that we lay emphasis on
“Suraaj”, good governance and we will do so in our country.

Sir, however healthy a person may look, he might be tall with ideal
weight and no disease, but as soon as diabetes enters his system, his
entire body becomes a home to host of diseases. The way diabetes
destroys entire body similarly bad governance in administrative system
destroys an entire nation. Bad governance is worse than diabetes. It’s
our initiative and effort to bring in good governance.

I believe we have created an image in the world, its good or bad, right
or wrong, each one is entitled to their opinions. But I think we have
created the image of Scam India in front of the world and this has
given a big jolt to India’s development journey. Our tourism sector is
witnessing a huge brake. Why so? Incidents of rape have disenchanted
the tourists. Small incidents are playing a huge role in stalling the
developmental journey of India and we cannot politicize those issues.
Will we even politicize terrorism? Can we play politics on naxal
attacks? Will we politicize the rape of our mothers and sisters? Will
we play politics on the killing of innocents? It is the need of the hour
that we will rise above this petty politics and adopt a collective
responsibility and make no compromises in finding solutions to these
issues. We will sit together to find solutions and work to recreate our
tarnished image.
