espected Chairman and all the respected senior members, this is
Rmy first chance to speak in this House. All the members present
here are accomplished and experienced citizens. I have to learn a lot
of things you, but if there are any lapses in my first ever oration,
I seek your forgiveness. Around 42 members presented their views
on the President’s Address. Senior members like Ghulam Nabi Azad
Ji, then Shri Satish Ji, Shri Derek O’ Brien Ji, Shri D.P. Tripathi Ji,
Professor Ram Gopal Yadav Ji, Shri Sitaram Yechuri Ji, all of them
presented their views. Leaders from all the parties expressed their
views and most of them found support across party lines. Some very
creative suggestions have also come. Some expectations have also been
expressed. Overall this discussion has proved to be very fruitful. All
creative ideas, irrespective of the bench they have been received from,
will be duly considered and creatively utilized in the coming days. I
express my gratitude to all those members who have brought forward
these creative suggestions.

Some respected members have raised their doubts that how and
when these tasks will be accomplished. This is true, that in the past
few years an overall environment of despair has set in and each one
thinks that nothing can happen, that everything is finished. This
mood of despondency still looms and hence these questions of how,
