The President has touched upon various points in his address and
all respected members have expressed them in their own ways. But
here I would like to make a point that there are lessons to be learnt
from both victory and defeat. Those who do not learn from victory
sow the seeds of defeat and it is necessary to learn also in future and
those who do not learn from defeat spell their own doom.

and it is necessary to learn also in future and those who do
not learn from defeat spell their own doom.
Rising above this equation of victory and defeat. We have to reflect
whether we learnt something new.
Once I was reading Acharya Vinoba Bhave’s views where he has
expressed a simple and good analysis of the youth. He says that
Youth is the one who thinks of the future and speaks of the future
but someone who languishes in the past can’t be called young. His
thoughts cannot be young. And we have seen quite a few people
who keep dwelling in the past and are unwilling to change even if
their views are acceptable or not. There are being similar to those old
fellows one encounters in trains or buses who keep narrating stories
from the past and one is forced to listen to them for long hours.
I agree with Vinoba Ji’s brilliant definition of the youth and hope
that in the coming days it will inspire us to think of our future. The
strength of India lies in its federal structure. The constitution given
to us by Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the luminaries of that time is
the guiding force of this federal structure.
